Cityville is a fun game but it freezes up all the time and you can’t request anything or it will freeze up this needs to be fixed so more people will play it longer

Damn it. I can’t get any of my gifts. Every time i try to get a gift I get sorry, an error occurred. Please fix this a.s.a.p. Cannot do my shipping, because i’m not mayor, although other people can do it, and cannot complete the tasks set, because i can’t get anything from anyone. And there are no guides to this game. No one knows how to do anything. Also the thing with clicking on someone’s plot of land to put up a franchise does not work at all. And the game is too hard. It is just too hard to do anything. You need an eon to collect anything. Everyone is either running out of energy or out of goods. Farmville is your best game yet. One should be able to play longer than ten blasted minutes without running out of energy or goods. I would like an answer to my questions. It would be good if when we visited we could at least get six energy instead of five. And five is an awful number anyway. IN RESPONSE TO RHEA COTSIS: I have lots of problems (very similar to yours) on my laptop, it has very little memory/space free. But on my PC I never have a prob, this may be because it has nothing on it but MS office, Firefox, and school documents. Maybe freeing up space is all that’s needed to make it run better. Only conclusion I can come up with for my own problems. Hope things begin working for you!

Hi I’m having a problem with all zynga games, on everyone of them, I can’t see the whole screen. Just as problem *8 above, mine is the same. Everything on the right side I can’t see, This means I can’t see my inventory on Yoville. I can’t enlarge or access the build menu on Cityville. I can’t buy any energy from the store on Frontierville. I haven’t seen what issues I will have on Farmville yet, but I’m sure there is something. Please help me with a fix asap. When I am in Cityville or Farmville and I try to gift a neighbor, the screen freezes on “Loading.” I do not want to unset my neighbors and lose them since I can not gift them. How can we fix this problem?

What good is a game like Cityville if it mysteriously changes size and hides the controls that determine screen size? Why should the end user scour the entire world wide web searching for a fix? I can’t get ciyville or farmville to toggle full screen. it will go full screen, but only for a few seconds. It used to do it, and then suddenly stopped. it is a pain in my butt and makes me not want to play…any suggestions?

I have the same problem with Cityville freezing up all the time. I just refresh it and reset the screen. I don’t understand why you can’t send a gift request to a neighbor if you have sent them a gift. And the energy usage sucks! One of the best things about Farmville is that you don’t have energy usage to worry about! I need more neighbors please! I will send as many gifts as allowed!
I cannot enjoy the app at all as it constantly freezes up….downloads slowly and have to constantly redo what I did in prior app everytime it freezes. It freezes my whole computer at times and I have to close and reboot. I have to delete the whole application at times and not play for a few days just to see if it’s gotten better. Whenever I try to accept a franchise @ my town, I get an error, it dumps me out of Citiville, & when I come back the franchise is not there NOR is the person who’s franchise I just accepted still there as a franchise option. They are still a neighbor but the franchise option is gone. Is anyone else having this problem? Otherwise, it works great.

Cant toggle to large screen. It stays for a few minutes, then returns to small screen. Also after doing 15 or 20 actions, the screen slows to a crawl. It takes 10 minutes to log out and refresh! What is wrong with cityville???

when i go to hire friends for a building or request a grant or something it goes to the page where you can pick friends but it stays blank and the downloading sign keeps going and it never loads.
One Reason for a lot of these problems like this one and the others .. Is FLASH CODING is Overloading *1* the Flash plug 2*Browser* 3* Computer CPU* ..
Usually Closing the Browser and Restarting resets the FlashPlug and Memory usage and all works again pretty much for maybe 1 minute into gameplay and maybe longer …
BUT .. A lot of tyhese things have to do with Memory Intensive and probably SLOPPY Coding of the Flash Games which is crashing the Flash Plugin, the Browser and Overworking our Computers …
They CAN fix this if they took the time to … What about the window Popups when something Happens in the game or you make a Request or something … IF you are Fullscreen you Lose the fullscreen and the Browser Window and Popu[p window *announcement* Jumps all over the place for awhile and you have to constantly readjust your Browser window and then when you try Full Screen again … Poof another Popup throws you out of FullScreen again and everything bounces around until the Popup window settlers down … ON and ON. THIS IS LIKE THE FIRST THING graphically they should fix and if they fix it for ONE gamer the code should work for ALL their games … GEESH … I

I am convinced the problems we are all having with Cityville are caused by the sheer volume of players. Someone didn’t plan very well and I don’t think they are keeping up with the growth. If I didn’t like the damn game so much I would can the whole thing.

I am almost level 64, daily player. ok the problem is that from today the cityville loads very slow(it takes at leat 10 minutes), and the funny thing is I have the latest macbook pro, and a very high internet connection speed, so is not my laptop is you damn citiville that is running fckn slow.
and speaking of games, not only cityville but others like restaurant city are so damn slow, I don’t understand what happened… you should do something otherwise the millions of fans you earned so easy, you’ll loose them overnight.

they usually put it in your inventory by accomplishing some of their goals. Dont be pissed. just checkout your goals and what they offer after accomplishing one.

White Screen of Death issue with Cityville and Cafe World. Can no longer send any gift requests or make position requests of anyone on my friends list. This makes both games unplayable. For a second you see the image, but the menu to check friends never shows up after seeing the wait bar. Just an empty white screen.

In CityVille, when I am trying to share things, the “Post Wall” popup load up speed is very slow, this will definitely push players away from sharing in the game and players will eventually quit the game.
Hello All,I resolved my own prob for 1 week.I backup my favorites sites in Mozilla firefox 3 versions then reinstall firefox 4.0 then it was working as expected.I think the enhancement they did need Add-ins that your previous browser does not support.You may try to download the latest version of your browser or higher version that old one depending on the browser you are using.This is the first step rather than reformat again your pc/lappy…hehe Hope this helps.thanks.

how to fix it, ye need to enlarge yer browser by pressing ctrl and + or scroll mouse, enlarge it until ye see the whole gamescreen. from there ye can click option/setting button at the far right.
what i mean is, first open the cityville game, then click outside the game (like click the empty BLUE facebook header), then press ctrl and + to enlarge until ye see the whole gamescreen….
I am REALLY thinking of quitting all my Zynga games. I can´t see the whole screen on any of the games. I cannot complete any missions as I cannot get to any menus. And I have asked for Zyngas help. They promised to get back to me within 48 hours. And it´s been SEVEN days now- that is 168 HOURS!!!!

There is no such things as a bad start the hole game is a bad start from the beginning. Very stupid game it is! The best is to quit a.s.a.p because you will gonna have a lots of problems and disappointments. Not worth it at all. Do not play with your own ”real” money that would be very stupid!!! Quit a game – the best decision ever!

Cityville is a great game, but whenever i get to my city my wireless disconnects, I thought it was my browser, i tried safari, Exploder and Chrome – same thing. I tried playing on a wired connection same thing. I can visit friends, sends gifts but as soon as I get back to my city 5 minutes and i get disconnected. I do not get this with farm town, I am not a rocket scientist but I do believe that farm town loads better when you have other farms you can go to, may be the programmers can create the ability to have cities in other countries, you can travel from one to the other so when you reach the limit of one city you can start another. The more things I put on my city the longer it takes to load just a thought, same as with Cafe world. I don’t mind the goals but there are way too many, and there is never a break as soon as you finish one another takes its place, a game is supposed to be fun, whats the use if you have to work so hard.
Can not load cityville. Get a message to upgrade flash player. I have the latest version. Tried all the tricks, like clearing the cache, different browsers etc. No luck.

Me too. 92% and then it stops loading. Error #28. Just started happening tonight after an auto-upgrade to a newer version of Flash (Adobe). Got a feeling Cityville has a conflict with the new version of Flash and hope they fix it soon. Glad I am not the only one, but I hope it clears up soon, or assistance to fix the issue.

Sending requests in cityville doesn’t work with explorer9. Everything works well with windows explorer 8. I haven’t got time to change the settings in 9 but even then it might not work properly. Probably it will take time to play games normally again
! And it will load your game well if you go to ”my neighbours” and click on any of your neighbours and the game opens quickly. This ”play” does not always work. You can just quit the game cause it is too slow and never know, when again some darn problem appears. You can’t fix the zynga games problems it has to be done from providers and that is ”stupid”. Better play some computer games what works, it is more fun and less stress. I played the game but now it is just boring. I have finished all my goals and there is still the same boring goals keep coming 1 by 1 (every time I finished the old one). Same thing all the time ask friends, build this, collect from it 3 times”it means 3 days from the same bloody building”. Goals getting boring at the end cause’ they repeat..repeat..repeat..and repeat. 2 months played that thing and it was not fun. And this catching bandits is like gambling because 4 donuts goes off and you have to ask again because the other bandit might also need 4 or 5 even. to get 6 level you need 60 to catch, that is too much cause every 3-4 hours you can catch 2 only and you need donuts what is not enough to catch 2. this donuts collecting they should at least make it a bit easier like collecting 2 extra from businesses”at least”.
. That’s why it’ll get boring the end cause you are stuck with your silly goals! Have fun!

Same problem as everyone else. I can’t send train or factory requests or gifts because it won’t load or send to anyone, and / or I can’t see the whole screen. Sending a help request never gets answered…I’ve waited weeks to no avail. No one seems to care much. They’re making money on some people, and the rest of us aren’t important enough to respond to.
For all the people not able to see half the screen or not able to send requests and other bizarre happenings, my experience may be relevant. I upgraded to IE9 a few weeks ago only to find that several problems appeared. Went back to ie8 and much was resolved but over next few weeks more functions failed. My computer expert husband found that a lot of cookies were being blocked and after unblocking the functions have come back. I can’t tell you how to do itexactly but it involves looking at the privacy report at bottom of screen then permitting the relevant cookie in the tools – security menu.

I am done playing Cityville. I have no problems playing any other Zynga games or FB games for that matter. Cityville is always running slow, it takes 100 times longer to do anything than it should and it is frustrating. I don’t need a game to frustrate my life when it should be providing me entertainment. Zynga, you just lost a bunch of money from me.
Until Cityville fixes this and all the other problems, I am stopping playing.

hi iv been having a problem for months i cant send my cityville notifications onto the facebook page, y is this?? it works on my laptop but not my home pc!!! please help me realy annoying now! it starts to load then gose white!!
The problem i am having is that i can’t send gifts out to my friends.The game will show on the bottom a pop-up that says ‘show all content……what will it hurt. I get the same on farmville, blank page pops up when i try to send gifts. Even on the Games it will show the pop-up bar. On the zingz games it will not let me SHARE my accomplishments with friends. When i refresh page i lose all that i had done. PLEASE fix the problem.
i am having a great problem, someone please help me out,i am using chrome and playing cityville but when i click on ask friends or click to publish then the writings and publish button don’t appears only the cross at the right top and just a blue box with a loading sign.

- go to view menu on your mozilla and then choose > zoom > reset… and then reload your cityville.. bingo… let’s start to visiting neighbors
CITYVILLE WALL POST PROBLEM
-go to privacy setting of your facebook and click apps and website > edit setting > remove cityville from your authorized apps > re-open your cityville
i am trying to get many cash but this game very good
If i use mozilla to play cv it will not load.And if i use chrome & e nternet to play cv it will load but its not moving & i cant even move the cursor whats seems to be the problem there.
And if i play my other account on mozilla chrome etc its going smoothly.. why

yeah i cant even get into my cityville and when I do it freezes up on me my daughter is the same way Im about ready too stop playing I think this problem burned up my lap-top seriously eaither fix the problem Im not ever going too play again I know there is alot of my family & friends that has already stopped playing
when I go to cityville, only the left side loads, the right side is white. As you know all the buttons to play the game are on the right so I cannot play…help! I see from above posts that others have trouble also. Please help us.

Most of the time CityVill will not load, and when it does it freezes up, and i’m not able to receive any gifts from friends, I know it is not my computer cuz all the other game load and work fine, I hope you can tell me what is going on so I can continue to play CityVill,

I am unable to see the whole screen on many games. It is missing the right side and some of the lower part of the game screen, so I am unable to click on friends, enlarge screen or find gifts. What do I need to do? My computer runs on VISTA. I never had this problem under HP.
